Homicide Update
Another week has gone by in Albuquerque, and we can add three more victims to the ever-growing number of homicides in Albuquerque.
This week we had a homicide reported at the Motel 1, at Petroglyph Park and at Coors and Iliff.
The number of homicides in Albuquerque now stands at 67.
Interestingly the homicide at Coors and Iliff was first reported by APD’s gun surveillance system. This is a system of monitors that have been placed around Albuquerque and they report to the Real Time Crime Center when a gun has been discharged. In this case the report came in and officers were dispatched to find a victim shot in the parking lot.
If only we could figure out how to replicate Minority Report and stop the homicides before they are committed.
